The Overseas Passenger Terminal Upgrade
Client: Sydney Ports Corporation
Project value: Confidential

The TSA team provided project management services as part of an integrated project team for the Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT) Upgrade project.

Our team worked on the development of the delivery strategy, finalisation of planning approvals and management of the procurement process for consultants and construction contractor, all following NSW Government Procurement Guidelines.

The project involved the expansion and redevelopment of the existing facility at Circular Quay, Sydney to meet the demands of the increasingly popular cruise ship industry.

A new mezzanine floor was created and access within the building revamped with new lifts and travelators. Customer experience within the terminal has been improved, with in operational efficiencies achieved with a new baggage hall, check-in and boarding facilities. Circular Quay West Road was extended allowing for an increased capacity and improved flow for coaches and delivery vehicles. Like the White Bay Cruise5 Terminal, the spaces of the enhanced OPT are flexible in design allowing for their use as function spaces on non-ship days.
