TSA has provided comprehensive project and stakeholder management services across a range of different refurbishment and repositioning projects at Melbourne Central including external streetscape works, mall refurbishments, food and beverage retailing, artwork installations, media installations, landscaping, building services infrastructure upgrades, and alterations to heritage-listed buildings.

TSA assisted the various GPT stakeholder groups (including Retail, Commercial, Development, Leasing and Operations) in reaching consensus on key project objectives and how best to realise these.

To bring the best consultants and cutting-edge designs to Melbourne Central (as an extension to Melbourne’s eclectic city fabric), TSA ran a design competition, identifying which architects were most likely to achieve GPT’s aspirations for each of the different precincts.

Noting time and cost were also key drivers for most of the projects, TSA worked closely with the consultant teams to undertake value engineering. Options were developed to provide the best ‘bang for buck’ for GPT consideration and direction.

GPT required the Arcade project to be designed to deliver the best possible “One Planet” outcomes. The One Planet outcomes include sustainability initiatives such as energy, waste and the use of sustainable materials in construction. They also extend to the human, social, economic impacts, which all contribute to the experience of customers visiting the centre.
