A New Zealand Government organisation, Kāinga Ora, delivers housing and urban development projects throughout New Zealand. The Tamaki Regeneration Programme is the largest urban regeneration project in New Zealand, creating a thriving, attractive, sustainable and self-reliant community. It is part of the Auckland Housing Programme (AHP) which aims to deliver around 10,000 new, high-quality, healthy homes in the next 10-15 years. These homes include a mix of state housing, more homes for first home buyers, and a greater supply of homes to the market.

TSA is currently providing project management and advisory services to Kāinga Ora across the whole project lifecycle. This includes the delivery of master planning, the development of business cases, infrastructure planning and delivery, and construction of new apartments and houses.

We are also involved in the Tāmaki Precinct, carrying out business case preparation for a new master-planned neighbourhood – Epping-Evandale – and are preparing for construction to commence on the Hinaki neighbourhood this month. The Hinaki neighbourhood will see more than 300 dwellings delivered over the next two years.

These projects offer innovative housing solutions and potential new build forms for the sites and neighbourhoods, including Build To Rent, multigenerational homes, cohabitation spaces, ‘living Streets’ and Kai Awhi – community gardens and nurseries.
