The Selwyn Street Student Accommodation is very close to the new University of Waikato campus and will offer students an affordable and reliable accommodation option. The Student Accommodation project is a passion project by local Tauranga property developer, QP Property Holdings, who has secured the University of Waikato as a tenant.

TSA provided full project management services, includes design management, procurement and construction management to ensure the project met the client and the tenant, the University of Waikato’s requirements.

Construction began in December 2019, the project includeds over 90 ensuite student rooms spread over four upper floors and separate managers accommodation. Common areas on each level include tea and coffee making facilities with space for students to spread out and connect with their peers against the backdrop of hard to beat views over Tauranga’s spectacular inner harbour.

The lowest floor offers a “Masterchef” style kitchen where students can cook together and a social hub with plenty of space to mingle over food. A laundry and storage for bikes and surfboards are also located on this floor, encouraging students to embrace the active lifestyle that the Bay of Plenty has to offer.
