TSA (as Cequent Projects) worked with Ilam Medical Developments to create a new integrated medical centre encompassing a GP practice and pharmacy on the ground floor as well as podiatry, psychology, physio, and dental services. We worked closely with the building architects and practice staff to agree on a layout that works well operationally plus retain an efficient and attractive building form. After achieving approval of a tricky partially-notified resource consent, we were ready to complete the design.

Due to its prominent location on Memorial Avenue, the district plan required special care and attention to ensure the building fit in with its residential neighbours. After a prolonged partially-notified resource consent process and a few minor design modifications, we finally received approval for the IKON concept.

With the resource consent and complete approvals from the client, we completed the design, building consent, and procurement in 2020, with construction completed by the end of 2021.

This building will be a significant asset for the Ilam/Fendalton communities.
