TSA (as Cequent Projects) is currently working with Ilam Medical Developments to create a new integrated medical centre encompassing a GP practice and pharmacy on the ground floor with a podiatrist, psychologist, physiotherapist, and likely a dentist above. We have worked closely with the building architects and practice staff to agree on a layout that will work well operationally plus retain an efficient and attractive building form. After achieving approval of a tricky partially-notified resource consent, we are ready to complete the design.
Due to its prominent location on Memorial Avenue, the district plan required special care and attention to ensure the building fit in with its residential neighbours. After a prolonged partially-notified resource consent process and a few minor design modifications, we finally received approval for the IKON concept.
With the resource consent now in hand and complete approvals from the client, we are launching to complete the design, building consent, and procurement this year (2020), with construction taking the majority of 2021.
Once complete, this building will be a significant asset for the Ilam/Fendalton communities.
