This brand new, indoor sports facility brings netball into the future by providing a new home for the Christchurch Netball Centre who have spent the last 100 years on 36 outdoor courts in Hagley Park. This facility includes high quality wooden sprung flooring, wall mounted scoreboards, netting, ventilation and a solid frame for a number of sporting codes to base themselves. The facility also includes a mezzanine for viewing games, 4 change rooms, a large storeroom, a café area with seating and a view to the courts, 2 multi-use rooms, a medical room, an event control room and a reception and office area.

A generous benefactor who donated $10 million to the project was key to getting this project underway. Their vision was to provide a high-quality community facility to support the future of women’s sports in Canterbury. This project is a design and build with the contractor and was completed in November 2023.
