As a project partner and board advisor to Southern Cross, TSA managed the planning and delivery of this premium, 2,500m2 fit-for-purpose healthcare facility. TSA assisted in the development of options analysis, assisted with the procurement of a development partner and managed the design, construction and fitout through to commissioning. We also gathered user group requirements and facilitated the change management process. Specific attention was needed to coordinate the requirements of the equipment installer and the main contractor.
Features of the Southern Cross area of the facility include consultation offices for surgeons and clinical staff, three state-of-the-art surgery theatres, a fully equipped central sterile services department (CSSD), and comprehensive staged recovery areas. The Canopy Cancer Care components feature engineered comfort spaces to treat patients for chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other targeted therapies. Careful planning and management were required to achieve occupation and day-one readiness.
