Powering Sydney’s Future
TransGrid

3 substation upgrades, 20km of underground cable.

Powering Sydney’s Future (PSF) sought to deliver a new underground electricity cable, and upgrades to three substations. This is to ensure Sydney’s CBD and surrounding suburbs have a reliable energy supply into the future. Powering Sydney’s Future at a glance:

  • 20 kilometres of new 330kV underground cable.
  • The new cable will connect substations at Potts Hilland Alexandria.
  • Upgrading substations at Potts Hill, Alexandria and Picnic Point.

To avoid future disruption, we are proposing to install additional infrastructure to allow for a second cable at a later stage.

TSA were embedded in the roles of Project Controls Lead & Risk Manager, Project Scheduler and Project Engineer. We have successfully contributed to the implementation of numerous robust, up-to-date and user friendly tools, systems, procedures and documentation to assist the PSF project in construction delivery. As such, the project was able to operate more closely to that of stand-alone major project.

Our team also progressed a number of stagnant issues through to completion, as directed by the Project Director.
