Education Capital Works Program
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure

91 South Australian public schools upgraded
67,000 students impacted

ProManage was engaged by the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) to provide Contract Management services to the broader project team.  Led by Marnie Elder, the role required us to seamlessly integrate into an established project team and provide advice relating to tailored tender and contract documentation development, contract administration and commercial management services. This required a sound understanding of complex processes and approval channels when working on a multi layered and multi-disciplinary program within tight timeframes.  ProManage were hands in our approach and in demonstrating our commitment to building relationships for success having provided strategic advice at contracts planning and steering committee meetings.

The Department for Education Capital Works Program (previously referred to Building Better Schools) was announced in October 2017. Upgrades at each school will be unique to that school and be a mixture of additional learning areas and facilities in high schools for the transition of year seven, removing old relocatable or modular classrooms, providing new buildings for schools with growing student numbers, refurbishing classrooms and buildings into modern learning areas and landscaping and upgrading street frontage to create vibrant entries. Around 67,000 students across the state will benefit with around one in five schools having their facilities upgraded.
