Making the old, new again

We know the importance of having the right people on projects, especially when refurbishing commercial office buildings – making the old new again. For this reason, two years ago we set out to build the Commercial capability in our NSW business and today we’re excited to announce our family in Sydney is growing.

This week we celebrate that our team, and our capability in this niche area is growing. From 1 November the team from specialist project management business, EVC, will become a part of our NSW family. EVC is a Sydney based project management business specialising in the refurbishment of commercial office buildings. Leading the team and further driving our growth in this area will be Ian Wilson, appointed as the TSA NSW Commercial Lead earlier this year. With over 30 years of managing and leading the delivery of commercial fitout and refurbishment projects, we know that Ian ‘gets’ what it means to truly turn something ‘old’ into something that can be celebrated for a long time to come.

So, who are EVC?

Since 2007 EVC has delivered strategic advice and innovative commercial building refurbishments to a range of clients and commercial property owners. Owner Cris Van Haren and the team have provided a diverse range of high-quality Project Management services across 80 major commercial assets including Grosvenor Place, and the current 55 Market Street Project. Cris and the team will be joining our TSA Sydney office and continue to service their existing clients under our TSA banner.

Our pool of knowledge and experience is growing with our numbers.

Our history is important because it gives us a strong identity of who we are now. As we close 2019, we feel stronger and more diverse than ever, and people are at the heart of our story. Only 12 months ago we celebrated a workforce of just over 200. Our organic growth, along with the teams from Xigo in NZ, Xact in Canberra, and now EVC in Sydney joining us, have led to a strong and experienced group of 330 diverse project managers across our 8 offices, that we’re extremely proud of.

Diversity is our competitive advantage.

With different strengths across our business, we’re in a good position to pull the right levers on the right projects. This growing diversity of talents offers us a competitive advantage in both our business development and our organisational evolution. EVC, the people and the projects they bring with them, further diversify our platform to deliver ‘Best for Project’.

As we welcome the EVC team and their clients to our family, we’re even more excited now perhaps than we were at the establishment of TSA 18 years ago, to see what the future holds.
