Peter Whelan  

Peter Whelan, APAC Lead

Peter is a communications and stakeholder engagement leader with highly developed strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. He has over 20 years of experience in community, stakeholder, customer, and government relations, having undertaken senior engagement roles across government and the private sector.

Steve Dangerfield, Business Lead SA, Strategy and Engagement

Steve has 30 years’ experience in community relations and risk communication. His extensive career spans senior and specialist community engagement roles across several government agencies. He has led community engagement on many high profile and high-risk projects, building deep and trusted relations with stakeholders to reverse public opposition and create positive engagement.

Steve’s projects include Adelaide Desalination Project, the North South Interconnection Systems Project, the decommissioning of the Leigh Creek Coalmine and Port Augusta Power Station, Reimagining eco tourism for Kangaroo Island post bushfire and COVID, complex site contamination projects, legislative reform for the Natural Resources Management Boards in South Australia, and SA Water’s Eyre peninsula Desalination Plant project.

  

Leslie Wapler, Queensland Lead

Leslie has a special interest in as well as vast experience with communications and stakeholder engagement related to environmental challenges and contaminated land. She has a deep understanding of working with all levels of government departments and the private sector.

 

Scott Warren, New South Wales Lead

Scott’s experience spans the full suite of communication services from public affairs, issues and crisis management to front-end project strategy and strategic engagement, statutory consultation during project approvals, and community relations in project delivery.

  

Belinda Woite, Senior Lead SA, Stakeholder Engagement

Belinda has more than 20 years’ experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, risk identification and mitigation, strategy development, interface and risk management, and facilitation. She is committed to sustainable development, and has worked with a multitude of private, not-for-profit and government organisations, building strong and long-term relationships.

Belinda has led and implemented stakeholder engagement strategies for projects such as the Coast Park Stages One and Two Public Notice processes, the O-Bahn City Access Project, the Adelaide Central Reinforcement Project, the Glenelg to Adelaide Parklands Recycled Water Project and the Goodwood Junction Grade Separation Project.
